This 6 in. Sloped Ceiling Recessed Housing is specially designed to be installed from below the ceiling in home remodel applications, ideal for those with limited or no access to above the ceiling. It is ideal for non-IC remodel applications. Its gasketed Air-Tight housing restricts airflow from conditioned spaces into unconditioned attic space, preventing unnecessary HVAC costs and improving the overall home energy efficiency. The housing is constructed from die-formed corrosion resistant galvanized steel. An integral flange and locking springs create a snug fit against the ceiling, permitting quick mounting in 1/2 in. to 1-1/2 in. thick ceilings. The socket position can be adjusted to accommodate ceiling pitches from 2/12 to 7/12 pitch. It features a universal J-box with snap-out sides. Wiring is made easy with the included wiring quick-connects that allow simple installation of 12-20 AWG wire without using separate wire nuts - simply strip supply wires and push in. It is UL and CUL listed for damp locations and is thermally protected against improper use of lamps.
